Mechanical Upgrade
- Prepare the Jacks: Ensure your camper is stable. Remove the protective manual cap from the top of the existing manual jack to expose the inner gears.
- Install the Drive Assembly: Install the metal coupler, spring, and washer onto the jack shaft. Applying a small amount of white lithium grease to the internal gears and washers is highly recommended for smooth operation.
- Mount the Motor Heads: Align the new electric motor head with the jack and slide it down onto the fitting. Secure the motor head using the provided bolts and washers.
- Test Alignment: Tilt the motor head slightly during assembly to ensure the washer stays in place. Secure the motor head tightly.
Electrical Installation
- Wire the System: Run an 8-gauge wire directly from the camper battery to the jack controller. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Mount the Interior Control: Find an interior vertical surface to mount your main control board and any provided electrical switches, ensuring you have a clear path for wiring.
- Connect the Motors: Plug the motor pigtails into the interior motor wires passing through the camper wall. Route the wires appropriately and ensure the connections are protected from moisture by using a strain relief and/or silicone sealant.
