Our WRX trailer hitch by EcoHitch® fits the 2015-2021 model. This WRX hitch and WRX STI trailer hitch features our Invisi Style design which means only the receiver is visible when in use– no large, bulky metal hitch hanging down low under your WRX. This tow hitch uses your factory knock out panel to completely hide the hitch when not in use to restore to your factory look. This Subaru WRX tow hitch is rated at 238kg tongue weight at the trailer ball and 1580kg towing.

Our EcoHitch® line comes in three styles: Stealth, Hidden and Invisi. The WRX trailer hitch features our Invisi Design. All EcoHitch® models are precision manufactured to have hidden cross tubes and receivers when installed. The only part of this Invisi-Style hitch that is ever visible is the receiver when in use. When not using this WRX hitch, simply insert your factory knock out panel back in front of the hitch and your hitch is invisible. Nothing to see here Houdini. Plus – this hitch has the highest level of ground clearance possible. What it boils down to? No jumbo metal hitch hanging down low behind and below your rear bumper. Plus you can trick everyone when you are not using your hitch – because they can’t see it. So invisible, you will forget it is there.
Hitch Receiver Size
This WRX trailer hitch is made to accommodate your bike rack, cargo trays and hauling needs. It features a 2 inch receiver opening which is the most common size for all your carrying needs.
Simple Install
It was designed with simplicity in mind. It features a 100 percent bolt on installation which means you don’t drill into your frame at all during your WRX hitch install – we use existing mounting locations that work with the design of your WRX. This leads us to another reason you want this hitch – it does not interrupt the aerodynamics of your vehicle’s design because it is tucked behind your bumper and prevents you from having to mount your bikes and other cargo on your roof.
EcoHitch® trailer hitch strength
This WRX trailer hitch is rated at 238kg tongue weight at the trailer ball and 1580kg towing weight.** It is coated in high impact powder coat featuring our Chasm Black finish. The powder coating process for our EcoHitch® is time intensive and includes sand blasting which is something other manufacturers fail to do. All our hitches are sand blasted to ensure the metal is clean and ensures the strongest bond between the metal and the powder coating to allow for long lasting durability. The material used in this WRX trailer hitch can include a combination of up to three 100% recycled and recyclable materials including aerospace grade aluminum, stainless steel and steel.

WRX tow hitch
The eco hitch is amazing. Perfect design and easy to follow instructions. Structural design is strong and very inconspicuous and weighs well. I recommend this for everybody. It’s a great way to maintain my WRX STI Performance while still having the option to attach a trail bike for camping adventures. No negative aspects to mention. Truck campers Australia is also easy to do business with. My hitch was shipped directly from the U.S during Covid era and arrived exactly as expected (3 weeks). Great communication also as a fast response was received when I checked in on the status of delivery. Assembly does take some time and I suggest ensuring you have detail cutting tools such as a Dremel, and an impact gun to make the process easier. All up, took about 2 hours for me. But that’s in consideration of removing the bumper to get access etc
